Chapter 420: Was He Here For Bianca?

Bianca looked at Dave and gave him a bitter smile.

She remembered their first meeting at Champs Le Bar. Dave and Brandon had said they were meeting clients for Dave’s boss, but it was all a lie.

The memory made Bianca’s fists tighten, and the pain in her heart grew stronger.

“Bianc…” Diana saw that something was wrong. Remembering what Bianca had told her about Dave, she gently tugged at her sleeve. “Are you okay?”

The question snapped Bianca out of her thoughts. She gave a forced smile, shaking her head, trying to hide her true feelings.

Bianca glanced at Blake and softly said, “I don’t understand why he’s with Brandon. He never mentioned anything about their relationship.”

After speaking, Bianca moved to push Blake’s wheelchair. Blake looked at Dave with disapproval. He was upset by Dave’s lack of honesty. He suspected that Dave had hidden things from Bianca, maybe even the real reason why they broke up was that Dave has a new relationship with a famous star.

Blake had always doubted if Dave really loved Bianca.

He gently took Bianca’s hand, offering comfort, and asked, “Are you really okay?”

Bianca smiled reassuringly and said, “I’m fine, let’s go.”

Without saying another word, Blake nodded, and Bianca began pushing him toward the venue.

Diana was shocked to learn that Dave was the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group and knew Brandon.

However, escaping the reporters was more urgent, so she quickly followed them.

Dave watched as Bianca disappeared from his sight. He saw how Blake held her hand and the bright smile she gave him.

That smile used to be for him.

The closeness between Bianca and Blake hurt him. It felt like a heavy weight on his chest, making it hard to breathe.

He glanced at Brandon, who was still handling the reporters, before walking into the building alone.

Twenty minutes later, Brandon finally managed to get away from the reporters. He was surprised by how many had gathered at the filming venue and regretted not using the back entrance.

He walked towards the backstage area, taking a deep breath before heading to his exclusive VIP lounge.

When he passed a room, he heard familiar voices coming from behind the door.

Suddenly, he stopped.

“Bianc, what is he doing here?”

“Who exactly is your boyfriend? Brandon drove him here. He must be important... Blake, trust me, he’s just a jerk!”

Diana’s voice made Brandon curious, so he knocked on the door.

Bianca felt overwhelmed by the conversation inside.

The knock gave her a sense of relief, and she quickly opened the door, hoping for an interruption.

There was Brandon, casually leaning against the doorframe.

Her heart skipped a beat as she looked behind him. Dave was not there.

Only then did her anxiety start to subside.

A feeling of loss still lingered in Bianca.

She greeted Brandon with a bright but forced smile. “It’s been a while. What brings you here today?”

Seeing Bianca, Brandon was surprised.

Dave had not only sponsored the event but also made an unexpected appearance.

Was all this for Bianca?

Brandon stepped into the room. “I heard someone mention my name at the door, so I thought I’d check it out.”

He then glanced at Diana.

Diana bit her lip and looked away.

Feeling the tension, Bianca quickly stepped between Diana and Brandon with a friendly smile. “We saw the reporters around you earlier and couldn’t help but wonder. You wouldn’t mind a little gossip, would you, Mr. Foster?”

“Of course not,” Brandon replied with a strained smile, his eyes still on Diana.

Before Bianca fully understood what was going on between them, she instinctively moved to block Brandon’s view of Diana.

“The filming is about to start, right? Shouldn’t you be getting ready? We’re busy with my artist right now and can’t really chat,” Bianca added.

Brandon stared at Bianca seriously after sensing her dismissive tone. With a slight sneer, he said, “Since you’re busy, I won’t impose.”

He turned to walk away, but suddenly, a voice called out from behind.

“Brandon, stop!”

Brandon halted his steps, and Bianca turned around, surprised by Diana’s commanding tone.

Diana strode toward Brandon and stopped in front of him.

Brandon’s expression changed to one of amused confidence. “It seems you have something to discuss, Miss Schultz. Since Miss Scott is busy, perhaps we could find a more private place to talk?”

“Diana!” Bianca called out.

She noticed Brandon’s tone and quickly shook her head at her friend, warning her.

Diana understood what Brandon meant. She had no plans to go anywhere with him. She lifted her head and asked confidently, “No need for that. I just want to know what your relationship is with that Dave guy. Why is he here?”

Dave, the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group, hadn’t come in an official capacity. He had arrived in Brandon’s car.

Diana wondered about his real reasons for being there. Was he there for Bianca?

This thought made Diana ask the question.

Bianca was shocked. She hadn’t expected the conversation to turn to this topic.

At that moment, Blake sat in front of a mirror, his expression turning serious as he watched Diana and Brandon.

Brandon thought Diana had stopped him for a personal reason, but her question about Dave surprised him and sparked some jealousy.

Standing with his arms crossed, Brandon’s height made him loom over Diana. He looked down at her with an arrogant expression.

“Do you really want to know? Fine. If you beg me maybe I’ll tell you.”

“Brandon, you jerk!” Diana almost threw a punch in frustration, but with Bianca and Blake present, she held back.

Instead, she glared at Brandon with her eyes full of anger.

Brandon felt a twisted satisfaction seeing Diana subdued.

He might have taken the confrontation further if they had been alone, teaching her a “harsher lesson.”

“Diana, you should stop asking about it. It’s his private matter,” Bianca said as she saw the tension between Diana and Brandon.

She pulled Diana aside to intervene.

Brandon instinctively looked at Bianca after noticing her cold attitude, which confused him. He felt like something was off.

But he decided it was better not to press Dave for answers. If he accidentally said something he shouldn’t, it could anger Dave and lead to disastrous consequences.

With that, Brandon decided to leave. “Anyway, if there’s nothing else, I have to go.”

Before he walked away, he winked at Diana and said, “Miss Schultz, if you really want to know, you should ask me in private. Only then will I tell you everything.”

Then, he walked off.
