Who's My Triplet's Alpha Daddy?

Chapter 237

Ch. 237 / 245 Apr 30, 2026

POV: Thalia

The coalition documents are spread across my desk in the precise order Lysander will need them first thing tomorrow, and I am reviewing Nakamura's procedural confirmation when my daughter's fear hits me through the wall.

Not the office wall — the wall Luna built inside herself when she was small. The wall that held through a pack meeting and a breakfast kitchen and years of compression.

The wall cracks, and what comes through is targeted, concentrated, aimed at me with the precision of a daughter reaching for her mother across the compound's full perimeter.

Fear. Awe. And beneath both, a frequency I cannot name — ancient and silver and humming in the place where my wolf lives.

I am moving before the documents settle from the draft my exit creates across the desk surface.

"Luna." I radio the compound security channel as I cross the residential wing at a run.

"Eastern perimeter — what is her location?" I press the earpiece and take the stairs at speed.

"Tree line, Luna Thalia." The guard's voice carries careful urgency of a report in progress.

"She exited the compound twelve minutes ago." He adds the timeline I need while I move.

"Alone?" I reach the ground floor and turn toward the eastern exit at a controlled run.

"The triplets exited together — Phoenix and Orion preceded her." He clarifies the sequence.

"And Alpha Lysander is in the clearing with Claire Chen." He finishes the full deployment.

"Copy — I am en route." I pocket the radio and push through the eastern door into silver light.

The courtyard is empty. Caroline stands at the tree line — I recognize her posture in the moonlight. I pass without stopping, and she does not redirect me because she reads the difference between a woman arriving and a Luna responding.

The forest opens with silver-lit strangeness — shadows sharp, light dense, the animal silence registering in my wolf's senses before my mind classifies it.

I find Luna at the eastern tree line. She stands at the boundary — not in the clearing but at its edge, chosen with the instinct of a girl who understood that crossing it would change the observation.

Her hands are shaking. Her face carries the overwhelm of an empath receiving a signal beyond her capacity.

I stand beside her without speaking and take her hand, because language would break the thread she is holding.

Phoenix slips back through the trees from the clearing edge within moments — she must have felt Luna's spike and broken from Orion's position the instant it hit her. She takes up silent guard beside us without being asked.

"Mom." Her voice comes out small and waterlogged, a young girl beneath the ability.

"I am here." I hold her hand and do not pull her away from what she is watching.

"I can feel what he feels." She grips my fingers with the desperate pressure of a child drowning.

"The clearing is full of it." Her voice shakes. "Old and silver and it knows my name."

"Stay with me." I squeeze her hand and plant my feet at the tree line beside her.

"Do not filter it right now — let it pass through." I give her the instruction Elara developed.

"It is too much to let through." She grips harder, her knuckles white against my palm.

"Then let it pass through me." I open the contact between us and accept what she carries.

Luna's projection stabilizes — not fully, but the contact creates a secondary channel for overflow.

I feel what she feels. The fear, the awe, the silver frequency that hums with an age older than language itself. I hold all of it beside my daughter and do not let any of it dictate what I do next.

Dylan stands in the clearing with silver eyes and ancient words. Lysander holds the far edge. Orion crouches with his notebook. Phoenix guards. Claire holds the boundary.

I hold my daughter's hand and watch a small child stand in silver light speaking a language that predates every pack in the coalition.

I hold every response — fear for the child, grief for the years we did not know, awe at the scope of what unfolds — without allowing any of them to move my feet.

"Mom, his eyes." Luna whispers it with the weight of a child seeing clearly.

"I see them." I hold her hand and hold my ground and hold the fear that wants to carry me.

"They are the same color as the frequency." She describes what her empathy translates visually.

"Silver is not just a color for him." She grips my hand. "Silver is what he is made of."

Dylan's voice stops. The cessation hits Luna first — she gasps, her hand spasming in mine, shields collapsing as the signal cuts to silence.

He falls. His body drops and Claire is running before I can process the trajectory.

And in the exact moment his voice stops, a presence in my chest switches on — binary, complete, a channel silent for a lifetime activating without warning.

I feel Kieran's heartbeat underneath my own. Not through the forest or the compound's systems — in my chest, exactly where it used to live before the dart severed it.

A second rhythm. Faint, distant, carrying the unmistakable signature of a wolf in full shift.

"Mom." Luna's voice reaches me from a great distance. "Your heartbeat just changed."

"I know." I hold her hand while the second pulse builds beneath my own with growing certainty.

"There are two rhythms now." She grips my fingers, reading the signal through our contact.

"I know what it is." I press my free hand against my sternum and feel the impossible.

The mate bond is alive. Kieran's wolf is shifting. And a child on the forest floor who speaks the word awaken just unlocked a door that has been sealed since 1847.
