The tiny cries of Dala woke Lena from her afternoon nap. She had been taking care of the baby before Darian showed up and decided to help her out, letting her catch some sleep.

She was only a few minutes into her sleep when her cries filled her ears, piercing into them and she just couldn't ignore the cries of her three months old baby.

Yawning, Lena stretched to her feet and walked closer to the cot that was in their bedroom. "What does she want again?" She asked Darian who was trying to soothe the baby as she cried harder.

"I guess she's hungry." He handed the baby over to her. "You should feed her," he sighed, walking down to sit on the bed.

"Darian, she eats a lot. I fed her before you came in and she wants to eat again. Why is she being like this?" Lena halted, shaking her head. She held the tiny fingers of her baby and smiled at her. "Dala, mama needs to sleep, baby." The baby chuckled, winking her large hazel eyes at her mother. Lena's heart softened, she just couldn't be any less thankful for the gift of Dala to them. "Now, I can't help but feed you, cutie." She kissed her cheeks, crouching down next to Darian.

Baby Dala was the perfect mixture of both parents. She had the physical features of her mother, her father's skin colour and hair and got a trait of her hazel eyes from Isabella.

"Have you figured out what she wants?" Darian asked, taking his baby's hand.

He was all smiles as he rubbed his hand on Dala's hands. Having Dala had changed him so much, he'd been the best dad to her and the perfect husband to Lena since she had his child.

"Food," Lena pulled her clothes, one of her breasts slipping out. She held the breast in her hand and kissed Dala before placing it in her mouth. She smiled, looking down at the beautiful creature they made. "We made a beautiful one, Darian." She said, biting her lips.

"A very beautiful one, Lena and I promise never to hurt you. You and Dala will always remain my favourite humans in the world. Thanks for giving me the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen."

Lena blushed, her eyes still on Dala who was slowly closing her eyes. "I still can't believe we made it this far."

"We did, and we will even make it farther." Darian moved closer to Lena to kiss her forehead. "I love you, my wife, you will always come first with me. No matter what I go through, you will always be mine, I don't mind Lena, I will never let go of you."

Dala stopped sucking and eventually slept off in Lena's arms. "Take her back to her cot," He told Lena and she nodded her head.

She heaved the baby and placed her in the cot. Admiring the baby, she felt Darian close to her and before she could veer around to look up at him, he kissed her.

"Hey," he pinned her to the wall, caging her with his two large hands. "Is she asleep now?" He kissed her neck and she gasped. Turning around to face him, she hugged his neck and smiled.

"She's sleeping for now."

"Good, she should give us time to ourselves. I miss you so much and…" Lena shushed him. She knew where he was heading even without being told."

"Darian," she chuckled. "We are taking time for me to heal, remember?"

"Does it still hurt so badly?" Concern was evident in his voice as he spoke to her.

"No, I can manage." She smiled again. "It's fine, can you wait for a few more weeks?"

"You know that I can and I will always wait until you are ready. I love you and I always want your happiness, I won't do things that are detrimental to you, Wifey. You come first in my life and I value you." He let go of her, moving a bit to look at Dala lolling in her small bed. "She's adorable." He said, smiling.

"Yes, she is." Lena joined him as he watched their baby. She stood beside him and didn't say a word to him. "Did you get that stuff for your mom?" She asked him and he nodded in response. "She was happy when you called her mom, she felt alive once again, Darian."

"I know, I know that I did well and I am proud of myself. Hatred doesn't make life easy. I am glad that I made peace with her."

"I'm proud of you too." She ruffled his hair, smiling.

"Don't you think that we've waited for enough time?" He looked at her and smiled softly. "Let's start making our wedding plans now that the baby is three months old."

"Wedding plans?" She was befuddled.

"Yes, I proposed before we had Dala. I want to get married to you in the presence of all the people that mean so much to you."

"Darian," she was lost for words. "We don't have to."

"Oh yes, we have to. I want the world to know that you are mine, I will do anything, Lena. Please just give me a chance to get married to you in front of the world again."

"I will let you do that if that's what you want." She said, shrugging her shoulders. She perched down on the bed after Darian did.

"Thank you, Lena. I will always thank you for being my wife and giving Dala to me." He pulled her closer. "I am not perfect but I promise to be the best for you. I will protect you, Dala and all our kids. I will always make you my first choice, Lena. No one will come before you, I swear to you." He kissed the top of her head and whispered into her ears. "I love you so much, so much I don't want to stop."

Lena looked at him, she knew he did. He loved her but she didn't know what to respond with. She took his hands in hers and stared into his eyes. "I know that I will always be with you, Darian. I will always make us work and won't leave your side until the day that I take my last breath."

"Thank you for coming into my life, I look forward to more years with you and more kids too." He placed her head on his chest and ran his fingers through her hair.

"Many more kids, Darian." She smiled. She was happy, genuinely happy she was in the arms of the man she loved most in the world.

She wished he would always be at peace but she also knew for a fact that Darian was a leader of the mafia and different problems would surface in the future but she was willing to stay with him, love him and be his haven whenever he needed someone. She knew that she was stuck with him for life and she didn't want to ever let go.

The beginning of their story was not the best but they got to build the kind of friendship and relationship that they wanted with each other.

They were still with each other and things weren't too perfect between them but they were certain they could always make things right whenever they were wrong and they knew for a fact that they were stuck with each other for life.

Getting married to the mafia boss had been the best thing that had happened to Lena and she'd been forever grateful for it.

He didn't take his eyes off his wife. "I will forever love you, Lena."

She nodded her head, scared forever would come so soon. "Darian, let's live every day loving each other."

"Don't you want forever with me?" He asked, disappointed.

"I want every day with you, Darian. I want to be with you every day of my life, that's all that I need."

"I want that too." He stroked her hair and smiled as he thought of her, how timid and stubborn she was when he newly married her and how she was the mother of his baby now. "You will have twins after Dala." He said out loudly.

"My thoughts match yours, Darian. We think alike because we love each other." She looked at him and he welcomed her gaze with a soft kiss.

"I love you, Lena." His words had never been truer than it was this minute.

She thought about them, their perfections and how they dealt with their imperfections. He'd been great to her and he deserved all the love that she had to give him. There was no doubt that Darian was the one for her.

She lifted her head to kiss his lips.

He smiled, teasing her wet lips with his wet ones. He senselessly kissed her for a brief moment. When he looked into her eyes, she said, "I love you too, Darian."

He felt the realness in her voice. They loved each other and that was the truth.
