Unwanted Breeder For The Rogue King

You summoned us

Ch. 21 / 22 Feb 06, 2026

Draco

Heavy, deep grunts pushed through the air accompanied by the stench of musk.

Wading around in the water with a glass of red wine, Draco mindlessly drank the liquid. The beast, Wraithling, inside him, was restless. He had been that way since he returned from the Wilbur estate, desiring blood, but Draco knew it was not yet time for him to feed.

He emptied his glass and kept It around the edge of the pool of turquoise-green water, swimming to the other end. He looked over at the male servant and ordered.

"Get me more wine, fill up the glass."

"Yes, my lord," the male shrieked and skittered away in his subligaria to fill up the lord's jar.

Draco grunted as the beast thrashed inside him. He tried to distract himself by watching the Attendants who stood by the corner, pleasuring themselves. Pleasure in whatever manner was a common thing in Bloomington.

In fact, the best way they welcome a visitor from lands beyond Bloomington was by offering them an Attendant that would offer them pleasure.

As the two naked males stood by the corner, with one spanking and slotting his phallus into the other, Draco filled his belly with more drink, eyes narrowing.

After last night, Draco had gone into his chambers searching anywhere in all Abbator's mating grimoire where lycans were offered second chance mates, but from his research, their kind only got one opportunity at getting a fated mate.

Draco was left confused at what was happening. Having a second chance mate had never happened before. Well, from what he knew, only demons had the opportunity to mate twice or thrice but never their kind.

Draco had slumped over his chair, eyes looking upward. He knew what he'd felt at the tavern. It was a bond. A very strong mate bond.

Did the gods decide to have pity on him by granting him another mate? A male mate? Or was Draco misinterpreting all he felt back there?

He'd dozed off in the middle of his thoughts, and when he awoke, the urge to bloodfeed overtook him.

However, Draco had to substitute his hunger for blood with wine. It wasn't yet time to meet his secret feeder. Draco had someone under an oath who always fed him whenever the urge became too impossible to condone.

A voice broke through the moans of the Attendants in the space, spearing Draco's ears.

"Dracolian," The voice blared.

Draco sucked in a breath, head thrown back as he turned and looked at Alfos. His long black hair fell down his broad back.

"You asked to see me?" Alfos stated, wandering his eyes around the pool before settling them on Draco.

"Aye, Alfos," Draco murmured and waded to the edge of the pool before walking out. His bare feet swept the concrete floor as he walked around to stand before Alfos.

Two servants rushed over and dabbed the water droplets away from his body before tying a neat robe around Draco.

"Leave us," Draco waved away everybody in the bathhouse. Once it was just him and Alfos, Draco let out. "I have a new mate."

Surprised, Alfos drew back a bit, inspecting Draco with skeptical eyes. "A new mate? That's impossible..."

"I know, right? But I felt it last night. A black lycan broke into the tavern in the estate. I didn't get to catch it on time, but I felt the bond."

Alfos couldn't speak because he was too stunned to do so. A second chance mate was never real in their realm.

"How could you be so sure? Draco, it could be another sort of bond you felt..."

"What bond if it's not a mate bond?" He cut Alfos off and asked. When Alfos didn't speak, Draco let out a growl. "I don't know really, but I need you to call the soulgazer. Maybe he'll be able to see who I share that bond with."

Alfos nodded, eyes sharp. "But that'd require calling everyone in the tower so he'd be able to see the bond, Dracolian."

Draco grunted behind his throat. With a shove of his hand through his hair, he growled. "Then I'll make the summoning call."

Alfos left in haste after Draco's words. He needed to fetch the Soulgazer even though he knew this was a lost cause because their kind did not mate twice. For all he knew, Draco must be mistaken.

Draco rushed out of the bathhouse, hobbling to his chambers to put on his clothing. Along the hallway, he crashed into Isolde.

She practically screamed nonstop at the sight of the lord. She mistook the red liquid lingering at the corner of his lips for blood.

"Hell's scorn! What...did you...do?" She blurted, stepping away. Her chest palpitated as wide scary eyes pinned on Draco.

He didn't budge. He just stood in his stead, gritting his teeth as his eyes glowed while spearing them into hers. The blood beneath his skin sang and boiled like a cauldron.

"You wouldn't want to know, mouthy..."

"You killed...again. How brutal can you be?" Isolde cursed, her lips twitching. Draco wished he could halt that tiny movement of her lips with his because it was making him hard.

"That's why I am called a monster, little bird. I kill to maintain that reputation." He teased her by taking a step forward, but Isolde drew back, shaking her head. "What? Are you scared now? I thought you were strong?" He gestured by bending his arm so his muscles jutted out.

Isolde's face glowed at the sight, but she quickly hid it.

"I'll never be scared of you. Only..." She paused midway.

Draco yearned to know what she left out saying. He inched close a bit and asked. "Only what, little bird?"

Isolde shook her head firmly, and before Draco could speak again, she turned on her heels and fled.

Aye, she always ran. And that would be her fate until it was time, Draco thought to himself. Bile saturated his mouth knowing he meant time for Isolde's death.

Draco had always felt guilty about the deaths of his lunas. But he'd never had this strong urge thrumming through his veins.

The urge to spare Isolde from death. Death in his hands. But how would he do such when duty calls? When he has a mission to accomplish?

His mind warred, and with a sigh, Draco moved away from his spot.

He quickly donned his clothing and moved to the assembly hall where Draco stood and made the summoning call.

Every male within the tower arrived in the assembly hall. Murmurs broke out amongst the males as they wondered what was happening.

Draco understood their confusion but he didn't say a word as he sat over a chair and awaited the soulgazer.

Edrand pushed out of the crowd and came to him, brows furrowed.

"What's going on? You summoned us."

"There's something I need to figure out, Edrand." Draco casually responded.

"Something? What could that be?" He let out again.

However, Edrand got his answer the moment the soulgazer, Rodrik came into the hall.

All the murmurs died when the male began to assess every male present in the room.

Edrand knew then that Draco was searching for the mate bond. At that realization, Edrand's lips curled in anticipation.
