Thirty Days of Sin

Chapter 25

Ch. 25 / 30 Mar 13, 2026

The rope slides through his fingers like water, dark against the white sheets, and I watch him work with a stillness that surprises us both.

Nico does not rush. He takes my wrists one at a time, positioning them above my head against the headboard with deliberation that has nothing to do with desire and everything to do with vigilance. His eyes never leave my face, reading every breath for signs of retreat.

"Tell me if it's too tight," he says, his voice stripped of playfulness. "I mean it, Arianna. This only works if you're honest."

"I will," I whisper, and the promise feels sacred in the dim light.

The knot cinches firm around my wrists, and I test it instinctively, pulling once, twice. The rope gives just enough that I know I could free myself. The knowledge matters. This is not a cage built around me. This is a door I chose to close, and I hold the key.

Constraint I chose is not the same as constraint imposed, and the difference floods my nervous system with electricity I have never felt before.

"Good?" he asks, and the question carries weight far beyond the rope.

"Good," I breathe, and I mean it in ways I cannot articulate.

With my hands bound, the architecture of our dynamic shifts entirely. I cannot grip his shoulders, cannot pull him closer, cannot direct what happens next. All I can do is receive, and the surrender does not feel like loss. It feels like permission.

Nico reads the acceptance in my stillness, and the careful control he has been maintaining fractures.

The wildness I have glimpsed in flashes—the grip that tightened too hard, the growl he swallowed—surfaces with devastating force. His mouth finds my throat and the bite that follows is not gentle, not measured.

"I have wanted you like this since the first night," he growls against my pulse. "Spread open and helpless and completely fucking mine."

"I am not helpless," I manage, though my voice has gone breathy and thin.

"No," he agrees, teeth scraping my collarbone. "You could free yourself anytime. That is what makes this so goddamn beautiful."

He pulls back suddenly, and I make a sound of protest. He rises from the bed, crossing to the small table near the window, and I watch him move through the dim light with hunger I cannot hide.

His back is broad, muscles shifting beneath skin. But it is when he turns that my breath catches, my gaze dropping to the hard length of him, straining and obvious. The visual confirmation of how much he wants this sends heat pooling between my thighs.

I lick my lips without meaning to, and Nico catches the movement with eyes that have gone nearly black.

"Careful," he says, his voice rough. "Looking at me like that makes it very hard to take my time."

"Then don't take your time."

His smile is wicked. "Oh, but I am going to. I have been waiting four years for this, Arianna. You think I am going to rush now?"

He returns with ice cubes in a glass, condensation forming on the sides, cold mist rising in the warm air.

"What are you doing?" I ask, though my body already responds with anticipation.

"Exploring," he says simply, and lifts a single ice cube from the glass.

The first touch of cold against my heated skin makes me gasp, my back arching off the mattress. He traces a path between my breasts, watching the goosebumps rise, watching me twist against the rope without any real desire to escape.

"Beautiful," he murmurs, and the ice continues its descent, circling my navel, leaving a trail of freezing water.

My thighs clench instinctively, and he uses his knee to spread them apart while the ice travels lower until the cold presses against my inner thigh and I moan with desperation.

"Please," I hear myself say.

"Please what?" He replaces the melting cube with a fresh one, tracing it directly over my center. The sensation of freezing cold against swollen, heated flesh is so intense my vision whites at the edges.

"You're torturing me," I breathe, though the words dissolve into a moan as the last ice cube melts against my hip.

"I'm worshipping you." He sets the glass aside and positions himself between my thighs, grinding against me with agonizing slowness. "But I need words, Arianna. I need you to say this out loud."

"Say what?" My hips roll against him, chasing the sensation he keeps pulling away.

"That you want this." He grinds again, pressing against my entrance without entering. "That you chose this. That every sound you make tonight belongs to me because you decided to give them."

"I want this," I breathe, my bound hands straining against the rope. "I chose this. I choose you, Nico, now please—"

He grinds again, still not entering, and the friction makes me cry out.

"You are evil," I gasp. "Absolutely fucking evil."

The words unlock him.

He enters me in one devastating stroke, and the fullness after all the teasing makes me scream. He sets a pace that is punishing, relentless, his hips snapping against mine while his hands grip my thighs hard enough to bruise.

The intensity pushes me into territory I have never occupied. I am pinned and bound and completely at his mercy, and instead of fear, I feel freedom. The architecture of control I have maintained since I walked away from Dante crumbles under the force of sensation.

When I come, my spine bows off the mattress at an angle that should hurt but registers only as release. The orgasm starts deep in my core and radiates outward, crashing through my thighs, my stomach, my chest, until even my fingers tingle with it.

My inner walls grip him so tight he groans against my throat, and the sound of his pleasure layered over mine doubles the intensity until I cannot tell where sensation ends and emotion begins.

My bound hands strain against the rope, fingers clawing at air, desperate to hold something while the rest of me comes apart. Tears leak from the corners of my eyes—not sadness, not joy, just the body's overflow when feeling exceeds capacity.

Every nerve ending fires at once, and for three eternal seconds, I am nothing but pulse and heat and the devastating relief of finally letting go.

Nico follows moments later, his release triggering a second, smaller orgasm that leaves me trembling beneath him.

The silence afterward is soft, broken only by our breathing.

He unties my wrists with careful fingers, tracing the faint marks the rope left on my skin with a tenderness that contrasts sharply with everything that preceded it. His touch is gentle now, reverent.

I lie in the dark, pulse settling, and take inventory of discovery.

The rope did not take anything from me. It revealed what was already there, buried beneath the careful, sensible architecture of the woman I built after Dante. The woman who chose safe because she was afraid of what wanting too much might cost her.

I understand now with a clarity that settles into my bones: pleasure and pain are not opposites. They are the same nerve ending, firing in different directions.

And I am only beginning to learn how to feel them both.
