The Last Princess of the Blue Moon Pack

Chapter 3

Ch. 3 / 10 May 16, 2025

“You need to start watching your back, princess. He’s closer than you think.”

The voice sliced through the stillness of the empty hallway, halting Alexandra mid-step.

There he was again. Of course, it was him. Agor.

Alexandra whipped around, her heart thudding in her chest as she spotted him leaning casually against the wall. His silver-gray eyes were locked on her, sharp and calculating, but the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips added an infuriating arrogance to his expression.

After yesterday’s fiasco, she thought he would leave her alone. Instead, here he was, like an annoying child who couldn’t take a hint—following her, watching her every move, and getting on her last nerve.

“What are you talking about?” she demanded, crossing her arms. Her voice came out sharper than she intended, but she didn’t care. “And stop calling me princess!”

“You don’t understand the danger you’re in,” he said, his voice calm but deliberate.

“Danger from who?” Alexandra asked, her frustration growing. “If you know something, just tell me!”

Agor stopped a few feet away, his jaw tightening. “From the man who’s been hunting you your whole life. The one you already know about. But he’s closer than you think.”

Alexandra stared at him, her throat tightening. Her uncle, Alpha Raven. Of course, she knew he was looking for her, but Agor’s words carried a weight that shook her. “Why would you know anything about that?” she asked, her voice low and angry. “Who are you, really? And why do you keep showing up wherever I go?”

Agor sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. “Let’s just say I know things most people don’t. I’ve been watching, and trust me, you don’t have the full picture yet.”

“That’s not an answer!” Alexandra snapped, taking a step closer to him. “Why do you even care? What do you want from me?”

Agor’s silver eyes softened, but only slightly. “What I want doesn’t matter. What matters is keeping you alive.”

Alexandra’s chest tightened. His words were so serious, but his calm delivery infuriated her. “I don’t need your protection, and I don’t need your cryptic warnings! Stay away from me!”

For a split second, something flickered in Agor’s expression—frustration, maybe even regret—but it was gone as quickly as it appeared. “Fine,” he said coolly, stepping aside. “But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Alexandra glared at him before turning on her heel and storming down the hall, her mind racing.

Back at home, Nana Lea’s frail voice pulled Alexandra out of her thoughts. “You’ve been pacing for ten minutes. What’s on your mind, child?”

Alexandra hesitated before sitting down at the kitchen table, her hands gripping the edge. “It’s that guy, Agor,” she admitted. “He keeps saying all these things—about danger, about me not being safe—and it’s driving me crazy.”

Nana Lea’s expression darkened. “He’s not wrong about the danger,” she said softly. “Your uncle has been searching for you for years. If he ever finds you…”

“I know,” Alexandra said quickly, cutting her off. “I’ve heard it all before. He wants to kill me because I’m the last of the Blue Moon Pack. But it’s more than that, isn’t it?”

Nana’s silence made Alexandra’s chest tighten.

“Tell me,” Alexandra demanded, leaning forward. “What aren’t you telling me?”

Nana Lea sighed deeply, her eyes glistening with emotion. “Alexandra, you’re not just the last member of your pack. You’re the heir to the Alpha King’s bloodline. If the packs unite, they would all follow you.”

“What?” Alexandra’s voice was barely a whisper.

“You’re the princess,” Nana said firmly. “The one who can bring all the wolves together. That’s why your uncle fears you. If the packs rally behind you, his reign is over.”

Alexandra stared at her grandmother, her heart pounding. “Why didn’t you tell me this before?”

“I wanted to keep you safe,” Nana Lea said, her voice trembling. “You weren’t ready to know. But now, you have to be careful, Alexandra. If Raven finds out you know who you are—”

Alexandra stood up abruptly, shaking her head. “This is too much. I’m not some… Alpha Queen or whatever! I can’t be.”

“You don’t have a choice,” Nana said gently.

The next day at university, Alexandra’s head was spinning. Her grandmother’s words echoed in her mind: You’re the princess. The one who can unite the packs. She couldn’t believe it, but deep down, something about it felt right.

She was so lost in thought that she barely noticed Liam approaching her. “Alex?” His voice pulled her back to the present.

“Liam,” she said, forcing a small smile. “Hey.”

He frowned, his hazel eyes full of concern. “You’ve been off all day. What’s going on?”

Alexandra hesitated, biting her lip. She couldn’t tell him everything, but Liam was her closest friend. She could tell him something.

“It’s just… I’ve been remembering things,” she said softly. “About my family, about what happened when I was a kid. It doesn’t make sense, but it feels important.”

Liam’s hand rested on her shoulder, his touch warm and steady. “You don’t have to figure it out alone,” he said gently. “I’m here, Alex. Always.”

His kindness eased some of the weight on her chest, and she gave him a grateful smile. “Thanks, Liam.”

Before he could respond, a familiar voice cut through the moment.

“Am I interrupting something?”

Alexandra turned to see Agor standing a few feet away, his expression unreadable. But there was something dangerous in the way his silver eyes flicked to Liam, like he was sizing him up.

“Not now,” Alexandra said, her voice tight.

Agor ignored her, stepping closer. “We need to talk,” he said, his gaze locked on her.

“Maybe later,” Liam said sharply, stepping in front of Alexandra.

Agor smirked, but there was no humor in it. He met Liam’s glare head-on, his voice low and threatening. “You’re not the only one who cares about her.”
