"Why didn't you call me last night ?!" my older brother's furious growl caused me to be kicked in the seat.
"Bro, chill. Baby Reign is scared," his band calmed him down.
The older brother rubbed his forehead. "Look what you've done to yourself once again, Reign. Why did you get into a fight again?"
They're all looking at me, even Bullet my husband, waiting for my answer.
Napanguso ako. "But, brother, she attacked me first! Why can't I fight? She suddenly attacked me?"
Her eyes widened. "And you're answering your brother now ?!" he sighed in disbelief.
Annoyed, I stood up in the seat. "E, why are you asking ?! It's true, brother! She attacked me first so I have to defend myself! And why are you mad at me, e I'm the winner? I'm on top of her, so I made sure that I put a lot of bruises on her body for her to learn! I wasn't the first so I just fought fairly! I can't do anything if I'm stronger than that witch! " I promise directly.
I heard how his bandmates laughed even though there was nothing funny in what I said, and the older brother shook his head disappointedly.
"Look at your forehead, Reign."
I touched the wound covered with a bandaid.
"Brother, for pete's sake, this is just a small wound! I'm not going to die yet because of this simple wound!" my explanation.
"Reign--"
"I hate you, you're always blaming me when there's a fight! You don't even ask me why I fought!" I sighed in tears.
His facial expression softened when he saw me crying.
"Not like that, pumpkin," he calmly promised.
"Hey, why were you shouting at me earlier ?!" I cried even harder.
Confused, my older brother approached where I was standing. "Shh, don't cry anymore, I'll buy you ice cream."
I sniffed and immediately giggled. I wiped my tears and smiled sweetly. "Deal!"
Unbelievably he watched me, while his friends were busy laughing behind us.
"Your brother just fell asleep, Max. Aren't you the huthutero among us?" teasing him by older brother Niccolo.
"Shut up, motherfucker," kuya said while rolling his eyes in a manly way.
I heard my phone ring so I immediately pulled it out of my pocket and answered the call.
"Hi, my Shantal!" excited I said.
"Gosh, Reign. Ate Kaye is missing! I don't know where to find her!" its confused promise.
My eyes widened in shock. Kaye is missing? It's always really missing because it's a stray dog but why is he missing for real?
"How did you say she's missing? She didn't go to the bar?" I will ask.
"No, baby. I just saw the door of our mansion open when I got home this morning. Then one of my sister's shoes was left behind, the lock on her door was also broken so I'm sure someone entered the house!" he added nervously.
I bit my lower lip. "I'll help you find him, my Shantal. Later pick me up here at home, I want to be with Kris too."
"Okay, thank you baby Reign. I'm just really nervous."
I dropped the call when he said goodbye to me. I immediately approached my older brother who was looking at me in astonishment.
"You look so tense, what happened?"
"Brother, Kaye is missing, Shantal said," I complained.
His forehead furrowed. "You want me to find her?"
"Yes, can't you track him?" Hopefully I ask.
"Yes, leave it--"
"No, he can't." We both turned to Bullet as he spoke.
Astonished, I looked at my handsome wife.
"What's that, my wife?" I wondered.
"We are loaded with work, Arizona. Aren't we busy?" Bullet asked Kuya with his cold voice.
I could clearly see how older brother Max would swallow when I turned my gaze to him.
Kuya Max looked at me before scratching his neck in an awkward way. "Oh, yeah, I forgot that I was too busy pumpkin. Sorry I can't do that."
I frowned. "Okay, I'll take care of it."
I was about to run upstairs when brother Calid called me.
"Reign! We forgot, we have something to say to you," he said with a smile.
I got down the stairs again and faced them. "What is it?"
Brother Niccolo sneezed. "Boss fired our manager, and she went to another place, so now, we don't have a manager."
My forehead furrowed. "Why are you f-in-ire?" I wondered.
"Kasi--"
"It's my decision." I turned to Bullet as he spoke.
"Emma is far away, ahm, where did she go again, boss?" my older brother asked Bullet.
I saw the darkening of Bullet's expression. "Somewhere far away."
I slowly nodded my head. "What about that?"
"We need an assistant, to fix our schedule, and anything. Since it's your summer break, we're hoping you can help us," brother Hrein continued.
"You're the only one we can trust as of now, so please, accept our offer," said brother Khalil.
I pouted my lips. "Manager?"
They nodded.
"Hmm," I whispered.
"There's always free ice cream?" I asked, they laughed before nodding.
"I'm always with my Bullet?" I love the question. They laughed louder before nodding.
I kept on having fun. "Yes! I accept it!"
Excited, I ran and sat down next to my wife. I clung to his arm even though my older brother looked at me badly.
"I told you we really meant to be, my wife!" I was thrilled to say.
He didn't answer me so I quickly peeked at his face.
"Is that it? You have nothing to say?" I'm sure. He did not answer again.
Napanguso ako. "Pretend you're still there, please stay close, I know you're going to fall for me too," I whispered.
I got up from sitting again and went upstairs. Maybe I need to prepare my manager tasks!
