Kim:As soon as Charan Ayutthaya left the manor with a disappointed expression, rushing his steps as he made it to his awaiting car in record time and sped out of the driveway, Kim and Kla both turned to Kanya, who had been sitting quietly all this time, knowing what was coming as soon as the cost was clear.
“Kaya…” Kim’s voice was harsh, almost a warning as he narrowed his eyes at the woman who he called his best friend. “What exactly were you thinking when you spoke to Khun Lung“I wasn’t thinking, that’s the problem.” Kanya answered with a sigh, looking down at her hands on her lap. “I just knew that I didn’t want that man to pressure you into doing something that you didn’t want to do. That’s why I choose to step in…but now that I think about it, maybe this is the best way for all of us.”
Kim’s eyebrows shot up at that statement. “Do elaborate.” He spoke, a touch of sarcasm in his voice.
Kanya instantly knew that he was angry, because Kim only sounded like that when he was so angry that he didn’t know how to control his anger. She hadn't wanted that to happen. All she wanted was to find a simple solution and she had spoken up. But now…she was starting to see reason in her hasty proposal.
“Kim…you’ve helped me so much in the last few months, more than I had ever expected you to help.” Kanya told her best friend, her emotions sincere as she looked him in the eye. “But remember what you told me first when you met me? That you want me to be your surrogate to have your heir. And if this is a possible solution to your problem, then I’m more than willing to help you out.”
“Think about it,” she urged. “Please. We can get married on paper, it’s in name only and in this way, the marriage will be valid and the child will be legitimate, no matter what process is used to conceive the child. And once the child is born and declared your heir, and then we can divorce and move on with our lives. I’ll always be here to look after the child and help you if you need me, but this is the best way I can think of to repay your kindness, for all you’ve done for me and Kit. This way, I won’t feel guilty of taking advantage of your generosity.”
Kim turned to eye Kit, who had been sitting silently beside Kanya all this time like a living statue, his expression unreadable and his gaze fixated ahead like he wasn’t really listening or seeing anything. Kim was worried about him, but he couldn’t voice his concerns just yet.
No matter how he thought about it, Kaya’s proposal made sense. And it was what P’Kla had been worried about all this time as well, wasn’t he? About the marriage and the legitimacy of his child. Now that Kaya herself had proposed to this…everything became clearer…however, he could also feel like everything was getting more and more complicated by the minute.
“Karthot khapKit suddenly got up from his seat and simply turned and left, without a backward glance or so much as saying another word to anyone, especially Kim and Kanya. But instead of heading upstairs to his room, he left out through the front door instead, once again causing everyone to feel worried.
Both of them exchanged worried glances and it felt like Kaya might have almost forgotten that Kit was beside her all this time, but now, watching him leave, she felt a sudden sense of dread in the pit of her stomach.
“Kit!” She rose from her seat as well, ready to follow him, but Kim stopped her with his hand on her shoulder.
“I’ll talk to him.” He told her, before turning to face P’Kla, who looked pale all of a sudden. “Take care of things here for me.”
With that, he ran after Kit, hoping to catch up to him before he reached the mansion gates. Thankfully, his car was right outside the mansion, sitting in the driveway and as soon as he came out, Aawut threw him the keys.
“Nong Kit refused to let me drive him.” He reported to Kim as he headed to the driver’s side. “Should I drive you two?”
“Mai tong“Sire…I’ll have someone trail you in case there is need of it.” Aawut warned as Kim entered the driver’s seat and slammed the door shut. “Please, be careful.”
“Alright.” Kim didn’t waste any time in turning on the ignition and following after Kit.
Kit was still walking down the long driveway with hurried steps, as if he knew Kim was going to follow him but didn’t want to face a confrontation at that moment. ‘Too bad’, Kim thought to himself as he honked the car horn and lowered the window on the passenger’s side as he slowed down the car to drive beside the boy.
“Kit.” He called out to him, causing him to pause for an instant. “Get in. We need to talk.”
“It’s fine, P’Kim.” Kit reassured with a small, tight smile, but didn’t turn to meet his eyes. “I’m just out to get some fresh air. I’ll be back before dinner.”
“Kit, this is not a negotiation. Get in!” Kim sounded impatient, and maybe he was. He hadn't like how Kit had simply stormed out when him and Kanya were discussing something important. But neither did he like not knowing what was going on through the boy’s head.
“Kit!” He snapped when Kit still didn’t stop. “If you don’t get in now, I swear to god, I will haul you in and strap you to the seat and it won’t be a pretty sight. Don’t test my patience right now, Kit. IN!”
Finally, Kit stopped walking to turn to look at Kim through the open passenger’s side window, his face contorted in anger as he furrowed his brows in annoyance.
“Don’t you dare treat me like a child!” He snapped at Kim, making him startle enough to press hard on the brakes. “I said I came out to get some fresh air and that’s what I’m about to do. Why can’t you get it through your thick head that I want to be alone?!”
Kim blinked…several times.
During all the times he had been with the kid, he had never really snapped back at him with so much anger. It was a new side to him that Kim hadn't seen before…and in all honestly…it was kinda a turn-on for him.
However, he also scolded himself mentally for being aroused by someone, especially Kit, snapping at him in front of his men. They averted their gazes immediately, some even staring in alarm with their mouths hanging open and eyes as big as saucers, knowing that if it had been anyone else, they would’ve had a bullet through their head already.
And here he was, getting aroused instead of annoyed at being snapped back at.
Kim got out of his seat and rounded the car until he was standing right in front of Kit, his eyes boring into those dark brown ones that he loved way too much for his own good.
“No one,” he began menacingly, making Kit take an involuntary step back. “No one…snaps at me and lives to see the day.”
Kim took another step closer, until they were toe to toe and Kit was cornered with his back to the car.
“But when you do it…” Kim lowered his head so that he was eye level with Kit, his voice a hoarse whisper for Kit’s ears only. “It makes me want to throw you over my knees and smack that round ass of yours until they are a pretty pink and you’re screaming at me for more.”
Kit swallowed…hard; and watched P’Kim’s eyes follow that movement with a keen eye, his tongue darting out to lick his lips in a way that made his stomach clench.
How? How did this man just turn a serious moment into something sensual? He had been angry, jealous and frustrated all at the same time only a couple minutes ago, and those were only the emotions that he could decipher among the raging storm inside his head.
But with just a few simple words…P’Kim managed to etch an image into his head that he found impossible to get rid of.
Now…all he could think about was him sprawled over P’Kim’s knees…naked…and being spanked by him.
God! What was he even thinking?
But it seemed like P’Kim knew exactly what he was thinking, because a slow smirk spread over his lips before he reached out beside him and pulled open the car door.
“Let’s go, shall we?”
Kit swallowed once again, looking at the open car door…and knew that no matter the hailstorm of emotions running through his mind at what his PhiAfter all, since when had he ever been able to resist P’Kim?
