Bryan ruffled his hand through his hair as he paced around outside Lora's ward, he closed his eyes briefly as he listened to Lora's mum's sobs.
"Bryan!"
Bryan turned to the direction of the voice to meet his dad's murderous gaze..
"What did you do to her?!"
"It was an accident okay?....
The door pushed open alerting them, Bryan walked hurriedly to the doctor disregarding his dad's question..
"Doctor..how is she?"
The doctor took a deep breath and pulled off his nose mask..
"I'm sorry Mr Anderson..we tried our very best to save the baby..but we lost it"
Alice's wails further intensified, she shrugged Cynthia's hold on her and marched straight to Bryan and before anyone could tell what she was up to..
A slap fell on Bryan's cheek sending his face to the other side..
"You must have done something to her! if you didn't want the baby..you could have just left her alone!"
Charles casted Bryan a cold glance, all his hard work of trying to fix this alliance between the two families has been ruined again for the second time!
"You selfish brat! do you have any idea of what you've done?!"
The doctor cleared his throat once more, which obviously meant that he wasn't done yet..
"And I'm also sorry to say that..she won't be able to conceive a child again"
Everywhere fell quiet as they all tried to digest the new information they just got..

Arnold checked his wrist watch for the umpteenth time in a row as he glanced up at the stairs..
"Why isn't she down yet?"
Sam smiled nervously as he looked around the small living room, it's been almost twenty minutes and Chloe wasn't down yet..
Arnold took a sip out of his mug as he stared at Sam, he didn't seem to be arrogant or demanding like that Anderson's heir..
He seemed just like the guy who would give his full attention to the girl he likes..
"So how long have you and my sister been seeing each other?"
Sam cleared his throat with a small smile, he looked towards Arnold who was peering at him intently..
"For two years as soon as Arya's delight was opened, we met there"
Arnold's lips formed an 'o' shape, he nodded his head and raised his mug to his lips concealing his growing smirk..
"She never told me.."
Sam's brows furrowed confusedly until it suddenly dropped, he was just about to clarify his words when Chloe bolted down the stairs..
"Big bro.. I'm starving..what are we having for breakfast?"
Chloe yawned stretching her body, her half closed eyes suddenly snapped open the moment her hazy gaze fell on Sam who arched a brow..
"Sam?"
She looked back and forth between the two, did Arnold really let Sam into their apartment? without breaking at least a few bones???
"Chloe, don't tell me you're just waking up"
Chloe smiled sheepishly at her brother and sent an apologetic look to Sam..
"Isn't it Sunday?"
"It's still Thursday Chloe! you do this every time..hurry up I really don't want to get on Arya's bad side"
Chloe nodded and dashed up the stairs the same way she came..

Charlotte paced around Kyle's room in worry, her gaze landed briefly on the man who was still asleep on the bed..
"Did he really find out everything about me? what is he recalls his past?"
The door pushed open startling her out of her thoughts, she didn't need anyone to tell her who that audacious person could be..
She turned around to meet a set of blue mocking orbs..
"Why are you still here? don't you have things to pack? or I can give you a hand to do so"
Charlotte pulled her gaze off Arya, she honestly wasn't in the mood to answer any question or argue..
"Oh..let me guess, you're suddenly scared of what might happen to you if Kyle wakes up" Arya added with a chuckle..
"What do you want Naomi? haven't you done enough?! if it's money you want! then I'm ready to give it all to you! but please leave my life alone!"
Arya chuckled and casually took a seat at the edge of the bed, money?
"You want to give me what I already own?"
Charlotte's brows creased trying to decipher what Arya really meant..
"Don't stress your empty and dull brain, the only thing you need to do now..is to get the hell out of here!"
Kyle stirred on the bed diverting their attention, Arya was the first to move closer to him, she noticed the discomfort on his face and panicked..
"Kyle are you alright?"
His eyes snapped open with a gasp escaping his lips..
Arya guided him to sit up while his back rested against the bed's headboard..
"Did I pass out?"
He asked to receive a nod from Arya, he tried to recall what must have prompted that only to groan out in pain..
"Yes you did.."
Charlotte took steps back slowly, as their attention wasn't diverted on her, Kyle was awake now and that means he'd ask her a tone of questions..
She turned around ready to bolt out of the room when a chilly voice broke the silence in the room..
"Where do you think you're going?"
Charlotte's face paled, she halted her movement while her heart beat increased drastically, she slowly turned to him with a forced smile..
"Umm...I...was..well -
Arya's lips curled up into a smirk "Yes ma'am.. where are you going? boss just woke up, aren't you happy about that?"
Charlotte's nails dug into her arm, this damned lady was obviously trying to create more sparks and flames in Kyle's mind..
Kyle took a step out of the bed and walked to Charlotte glaring down at her..
"Kyle I can explain....
Kyle sighed "You say this every single time, when are you finally going to teach me how to use the sword?"
Arya's brows furrowed in confusion, she could tell the same for Charlotte too because the latter's eyes were rounded in shock..
"What?... Charlotte asked in confusion, wasn't he supposed to lash out at her or probably kick her out of his house?
Kyle held her shoulder with a small pout,"I'm free today, come on let's go practice"
Charlotte arched a brow, does this mean that he completely forgot what happened an hour or two ago?
"Of...course..I'll totally teach you how to use the sword -
A gasp escaped her lips the moment he pulled her into his arms..
Arya was left speechless, she walked to them and was about to speak when Kyle spoke..
"Go, get ready.. I'll meet you at the courtyard in five minutes"
Charlotte's frown was replaced with a smile, she heaved a sigh of relief..
"Yeah..see you down soon"
Arya stared at the closed door in shock and suddenly snapped her gaze to Kyle, did this dummy really forgot what happened a while ago?
She turned around ready to stomp away in anger when his voice reached her ears..
"Leaving so soon?"
Arya turned back to him to see the teasing smile on his lips..
"You really didn't recall what happened to you a while ago? don't you know why you passed out..you know what? forget it!" She muttered irritably and left the room..
Kyle glanced at the door, he smirked meaningfully, and walked back to the table where his phone was laying on..
He went through it for a while before placing it back down on the table..

Alice was the first to come out of the shock, her palm covered her mouth in shock, her daughter won't be able to conceive again!
"What?" Bryan breathlessly whispered..
Vanessa walked to them hurriedly, she came here as fast as she could when she heard the situation at hand..
"Hi..where is Lora? is she alright?"
"You can all go and see her..one after the other, she's still in total shock" The doctor announced once more and left..
Bryan took a step forward to go into the ward but was stopped by Alice..
"Don't even think about it!"
Cynthia walked and stood next to her son in a protective stance..
"We are deeply sorry for what happened to your daughter, but that doesn't give you the right to treat my son the way you like after all the child that was lost.. was his also! so stop acting like you're the only one who is hurt and shattered by the news!"
. Chaoter 95 - Irritation
Bryan walked past his mum and Lora's mum and made his way into the ward.
The nurse tending to Lora left the room with a metal tray in her hands soon after Bryan entered..
His gaze settled on her closed eyes, he could also see the tears rolling down from the corner of her eyes, as if sensing his presence, she fluttered her eyelids open..
"Lora" he called out which sounded like a breathless whisper.
Lora's eyes teared up even more, she pulled her gaze away from him to her side..
"You got what you wanted..our baby is gone" she choked out amidst tears..
"I'm sorry..I didn't mean to"
Another figure stepped into the room, she threw a mean gaze at Bryan before sitting next to Lora who was sobbing quietly..
"I'm sorry for the unexpected loss Lora..please don't go hard on yourself" Vanessa sympathized with a look of downcast on her face..
Bryan ran his hand through his dark hair, he messed up big time and he knew it but the deed was already done and there was no going back..
"Please ask him to leave..I don't want to see him anymore"
Vanessa turned towards Bryan who was lost in his thoughts, she wondered what caused this accident in the first place just right after Lora had posted her recent engagement with Bryan on the internet along with a positive pregnancy strip..
"You heard her Bryan..please leave"
Bryan opened his mouth to speak but didn't find the voice to do so, he reluctantly obliged to Lora's request and strode out of the ward..

Arya snorted in disdain and anger as she watched Kyle and Charlotte practice swordfighting just below her window..
In as much as she wanted to look away and slam her window close, she couldn't bring herself to do it, Kyle was behaving rather strange by acting all lovey dovey with Charlotte..
She was afraid the latter might take this as a chance to get closer to him and she was right! almost immediately Charlotte tripped and was about to fall..
Kyle was quick enough to reach out to her and held her waist in place, Charlotte raised her eyes to the opened window which she knew belonged to Naomi..
Her lips drew a mocking smirk, she instinctively raised her hand to touch Kyle's chest that was bare before her..
"Hmph! I wonder why he can't see through her!" Arya murmured beneath her breath, trying to hide her growing jealousy..
She failed to hear the door opening and closing behind her as she was too engrossed cursing at Charlotte in her mind..
She felt someone brushed past her and was startled to see Ray trying to take a look out of the window..
"Ray? when did you come in?"
"I called out to you but you didn't respond"
Arya pouted and turned back to the window, it's been almost a minute why were they still staring at each other that way and in the same position?
Ray took a look out of the window before looking up to Arya, he finally understood everything, he wrapped his hands around her legs with a reassuring smile..
"Don't worry Arya..I won't let her get close to daddy anymore okay?"
Arya nodded with a wide grin, since Charlotte couldn't stay away from Kyle..maybe it's high time she gets into action..
She crotched down to Ray's height "Hey baby..how about we mess with her a little bit?"

Chloe gasped in surprise staring at her phone's screen, she tugged Sam's shirt continuously until the latter gave her his full attention..
"What's up?"
"Bryan proposed to his ex girlfriend and they're also expecting a child" She murmured, she had honestly thought Lora was only bluffing about her pregnancy the previous day..
Sam shrugged with a nod, that news was still circulating online why was she just finding out about it now?
"Yeah it was released last night..aren't you happy for him? he's your friend right?"
He stared at her meaningfully trying to read her expression, he noticed the slight change in her demeanor before it was masked up with a smile..
"Well I guess so"
She couldn't help but wince silently when she felt a tug in her heart, well their contract relationship didn't go through quite well, and he decided to go for his ex..
Well this made sense to her, that explains why Lora was pregnant, so this clearly meant that he was still seeing Lora even after he signed an agreement with her..
"Chloe!"
She snapped out of her daze and stared at him with an arched brow "Yes?"
"Jeez! what were you thinking about?"
Chloe chuckled and brushed off his question with a shrug..
"Nothing much.. I'm relieved that he'd finally settle down and also his days of sleeping around would be put to an end"
Sam rolled his eyes and walked away from leaving her to her own thoughts..

Charlotte stepped out of the shower, she was all smiles, after two hours of sword practice with Kyle, she felt much more alive..
She casually walked to the mirror, her eyes rounded in shock when she spotted a few red spots on her face..
She took a seat in front of the mirror staring at the spots closely..
"An irritation! jeez!"
The red spots were very bad up close, if Kyle sees this he might be a little bit embarrassed to take her to the movies tonight just like they had planned..
"Well there's nothing makeup can't fix" she said with a little shrug..

Arya pointed at something in Ray's book, she took a glance at Kyle who was leisurely sitting on the couch going through his laptop..
She looked towards the stairs and wondered why Charlotte hasn't come down yet and almost immediately a loud shriek enveloped the whole building..
Kyle creased his brows, he stood up to his feet on hearing the sounds of fast footstep rushing down the stairs..
Charlotte stepped into the living room which left their jaws dropping..
Arya and Ray muffled their laughter as they stared at Charlotte's irritated face..
"Charlotte? what happened to your face?" Kyle asked worriedly..
Charlotte raised the small mirror to her face almost in tears, she had thought applying a little bit of makeup would hide the irritation but it only got worse!..
"I have no idea!" She squeaked.
She heard a small chuckle coming from the other end of the room which clearly belonged to Ray..
Her jaw clenched on seeing Arya's mocking smirk, it was obvious this had something to do with her..
She pointed a finger at Arya accusingly "I'm sure it was her! she's the reason for it!"
Kyle rolled his eyes at her accusations, he knew she was irritated by whatever was happening to her face but that doesn't mean she could accuse anyone..
"Come on Charlotte don't be ridiculous..I'm sure this must be an allergic reaction to something you ate..Naomi..call a doctor over"
Arya nodded and pulled out her phone, she watched Kyle lead Charlotte back up and just when he was on the last step leading down, he turned back to her with a meaningful look..
Arya was lost for a while, his demeanor seemed different, there was something about his stare that made her suspicious..
That was the same look he gave her this morning after he regained his consciousness..

Chad couldn't contain his laughter when he saw Charlotte's face, she looked hideous, however the smile disappeared on seeing Kyle's stoic face..
He cleared his throat "Well..umm..we need to run some test on you..come over to the hospital"
Charlotte's face scrunched, she didn't trust this man one bit, after learning that he was in cohorts with Naomi..
"I have my personal doctor to -
"Charlotte..just go with him alright?" Kyle mumbled cutting her speech off
Kyle met Chad's eyes "Make sure she's given the best medical attention"
Charlotte reluctantly left the room first, she needed to teach someone a lesson before she leaves for the hospital!
