Mr. Wrong Nine part II

Ch. 131 / 147 Apr 15, 2026

***I OPENEDOh, my God! No. I immediately touched my chest. I wasn’t wearing a bra. God, just where the heck was I?

The last thing I remembered was dancing with Nathan at the club—and where the hell was Megan?

Is this Nathan’s place?“Good morning.”

Adam suddenly came into the room. He was bare-chested, revealing his yummy hard abs, wet from the shower, and only a white towel covered his nakedness. This was the first time I saw him in this state.

I gulped. “Adam,” I breathed.

“Sorry to wake you up. I’m just going to get some clothes.” Then he walked to his wardrobe.

“Where am I?”

“In my penthouse, in my room.”

My chin dropped. I couldn’t believe it. “Why am I here?”

“I brought you here.”

“No. I mean, how did I end up here?”

Adam stared at me, then grabbed a shirt and pants from his closet. “You were very drunk. You could have been raped if I wasn’t there to take you.”

“Why would you take me here? You could’ve brought me to my apartment.”

“Julia, it was four in the morning. You wouldn’t want me to disturb the neighborhood.”

“Why not? And what is this?” I clenched the hem of the T-shirt I was wearing. “Who changed me?”

“I did. What am I supposed to do? Let you sleep covered in your own vomit?”

I almost choked. “Did we—?”

He raised an eyebrow. “I’ll forget that you asked me that.”

I guess that was a no, then. “I need to go home.”

“Not looking like that.” He walked to the side of the bed and picked up the clothes that were neatly folded over the bedside table. “Here. These are mine. Wear this and go downstairs. There’s breakfast in the dining room. You should eat. I’ll just get dressed.”

I nodded and took the clothes. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what happened.”

He frowned. “You don’t?”

“I don’t. I was dancing with this guy and—”

“Oh, the guy who was grinding his dick on you?” He smirked humorlessly. “I almost forgot who you were, Julia. How could you let him touch you? I don’t want anything like this to happen again.”

“I was not in the right frame of mind, okay?” I tried to reason. “I wanted to relax, and my friend—hey, did you see my friend?”

“Yes. She helped me to clean you up last night.”

Oh.“And one more thing,” he continued, “I don’t like that you jumped on me like that when you were drunk.”

“What’s that supposed to mean? What do you mean jumping Shit! I couldn’t remember. What was he talking about?

Damn it! I really don’t!“You don’t remember?”

“No…”“Never mind, just…” he groaned, “never mind.” Adam turned away, then exited the room.

A little What the hell was I doing? I felt like a robot. I put my sandwich down.

I still thought about what he meant earlier. I must’ve done something so embarrassing to him last night. However, he still wasn’t kicking me out, so I guess it wasn’t so severe. He even let me sleep in his penthouse for the first time and served me breakfast.

I decided to start a conversation.

“I’m sorry about last night. It was a mistake, I know,” I said, pretending I remembered what I did. “I wasn’t in my right mind. I tend to get really crazy whenever I’m drunk.”

He didn’t answer.

“Well, what’s crazier than getting fired from my first job in my first week? It was a small company with fifteen employees. I guess I didn’t tell you about this. I didn’t put it on my CV.”

That made him stop. He smirked. “Julia, you have many things you didn’t put on your CV,” he pointed out. “Including majoring in culinary studies.”

“I don’t think I needed to put that, though. To continue, I yelled in front of my boss’s office and threw rocks in the middle of the night. I knew that she was still there…”

“Julia, I’m not interested in hearing this,” he dismissed.

“But I just thought that there were crazy things I could do…” I cleared my throat. “Then, my boss found out that it was me. I only did it because she was mean. She doesn’t pay for overtime work, and wages have been delayed.”

“And then she fired you?”

“Yes, but she deserved it, though.”

He tensed. “I don’t think so.”

“Come on. Some bosses are like that. I should have resigned, but someone has to do something.”

“And you call that crazy?”

“No, it’s not just that. I called her boyfriend, who happened to be a manager in her firm. I was still a virgin and—”

“Stop.” His chest tensed. “I don’t think I want to hear that. I know what you’re about to say.”

“Come on. That’s not so new. You’ve taken a lot of stranger virgins.”

“That’s different!”

“But that’s what I’m saying, I do foolish things when I’m drunk. I am sorry about ‘jumping on you’ last night. You said we didn’t have sex, so I think it’s nothing serious, right?”

“Right. It’s not.”

“What did I do anyway?”

“Why do you want to talk about something that’s not serious?” he snapped. Adam stood and brought the plates to the sink. “If you’re ready, I’ll drive you home.”

“I’ll just clean up then.”

I went back to his room and stepped into the bathroom. Surprisingly, everything was provided inside the bathroom cabinet. There was a toothbrush, feminine wash, shampoo, a fresh towel, and a robe. Just how many of them did he take here? The thought of blonde women using this shower made me cringe.

I stepped into the shower then let the warm water rush over my head down to my body. Suddenly, Henry invaded my thoughts. He still hadn’t called nor given me an explanation. Was this his way of admitting it?

I didn’t have the right to be angry at him. Demi and I were no different. At least she didn’t know what she was doing. But as for me, I shared them both while conscious.

However, I saw him as the right person for me despite the issues we were facing. We could have a good future together. He could have been a perfect partner. But what was left between us now? He was probably with Demi, and he had forgotten all about me.

I shook my head. What would he think of me now if he found out that I was under Adam’s shower?

Under Adam’s shower…

“Come on, Julia. You need to sober up. What am I going to do with you?”I felt a cold splash of water poured slowly on my back. Adam helped me get up. I was really dizzy.“The water is good... the water is good, Adam...” I enveloped my arms around his neck. His clothes were already soaked.“Please, your friend is just right outside. I’ll leave, and you wash yourself.”“No!” protested. “Stay…”He groaned, trying to lift me, so I could stand, but my knees felt like jelly. I couldn’t feel my legs.“I can’t…”“Okay. I’ll call your friend to help you.”I shook my head, no.“Don’t call her. I want you here…” I moaned. I wanted to feel him. I’d always wanted him like this. Me and him, alone.“Come on, you’ll get sick, Julia. Don’t make this hard for us.”I pressed a palm on his mouth, but he looked away.“Shh...” I hushed. “She’ll hear you.” I leaned closer. “You’re a beautiful man, Adam. Do you want to kiss me?”His jaw clenched. “Are you okay?”“But for me? You won’t ever kiss me.” I touched his lips. “You won’t!” I giggled like crazy. “I won’t ever kiss you here…” I kissed his chest. “And here,” I touched his abs, then I stopped as I reached his navel. He was hard down, down there…Adam grabbed my hand.“You’re… you’re drunk!”I pulled my hand and threw him a glare. He gazed back at me with his eyes blazing with desire. I brought my hand onto his trousers then unzipped him.I slipped my hand inside and stopped as I felt his shaft. His skin was smooth but thick, hard, and ready.A low groan escaped his lips. “Julia, stop!” He took my hand away.“But let me do this…” I pleaded.“I said stop!” he growled, then he stood. He pulled up his zipper, making sure it was secured, then he rushed out of the shower—leaving me alone and stunned.Oh, God! I remembered it now.

How could I freaking forget? That was so stupid. Did I really want him that bad that I couldn’t resist him?

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself with a towel. Damn, me. I was becoming worse than ever. I lacked self-discipline these days, and I hadn’t been true to myself. I was foolish enough to even want both brothers. It wasn’t supposed to turn out like this. This wasn’t what I really wanted.

Now, I just needed to clear my mind. I needed to think of what I would say to Adam. However, resisting him wouldn’t help us at all. It wouldn’t help me God! That wasn’t a sign of a clear mind! I was still so confused. But I had to fix this now. Adam needed to know how I felt about everything—including my stupidity.

I hastily wore the clothes he provided. Shortly after, I came downstairs to see him. He was in the living room, watching sports.

“Adam?” I called, still hesitating to come close.

He didn’t answer, but he turned off the TV.

“Can we talk?”

“Speak.”

“I remember what happened last night.”

“Hmm,” he sang.

“And I’m sorry about that. It was so stupid of me. It was probably the alcohol talking.” Damn, Julia. Trying to find a reason, are we?He smirked, still unmoving.

“And I’ve been thinking a lot about this… usHe looked up at me. “Would it hurt you to sit here? Why are you standing there?” His voice was still cold but commanding.

“Sorry,” I mumbled. I moved closer and sat on the settee across from him. “As I was saying… I’m thinking about this. About you, me, and Henry… about all of this stuff.”

“What about it?”

“Everything was wrong to begin with—my attempt on getting your brother’s attention, seeking out help from you, becoming like Demi—”

He scowled, finally shifted his legs to lean forward. “Hold on. You think you are becoming like Demi?”

“Yes, and I’m sure, deep inside, you think so too.”

“You are drawing the wrong conclusions about me,” he declared. “I don’t think you are like Demi. No one does, even Henry. I’m sure he knows that himself. You didn’t know what happened to us in the past.”

Regardless of their past, I was still wrong to ever want both of them. “But it’s the same. I’ve been doing the same thing—”

He clenched his jaw. “You are not,” he said tightly. “I’ll tell you again. It would never be the same.”

I shook my head. “I didn’t like repeating what happened before, that’s all. I understand that she didn’t want it because she was ill, but I’m perfectly fine, Adam.”

The wrinkle on his eyebrows increased. “Do you want to know why I say it’s not the same? I will tell you why it’s not. We fucked her, Julia—to the point that we shared her in the sameI cringed. An image of him and Henry in the same bed with Demi flooded my mind. Stirring bolts slithered through my veins, making me colder than ever, and the colors drained from my face.

“No, of course, I’m not happy. How would that make me happy? I feel sick down to my stomach. Really, really sick.”

He pressed his two fingers on his temples, then his expression softened. “I didn’t want you to know that. I just want you to know that I don’t look at you the same way I looked at her.”

“Then, it wouldn’t matter if I tell you to fix this?” I slowed down. His honesty was all I wanted. “I just wanted to know your past with her.”

“Now that you know, you must think I’m a sick monster. And there’s nothing more to fix.”

“There is,” I pressed. “I can’t choose between you and Henry. I was wrong to begin with. You see, this didn’t have to be a choice.us“But nothing has been normal since we kissed,” he whispered harshly. “Julia, this won’t get back to normal.”

“But it’s better this way.”

“What if I know something much better? Let’s face this now,” he said softly. “I’m tired of this stupid competition.”

Adam cupped my face and came closer. His lips met mine. I tried to press my lips together to resist, but he forced his tongue into my mouth and bit my bottom lip hard. Then, he lifted me and brought me to the couch. He gripped my waist—sliding his hand under my shirt, reaching for my breast. He twisted my nipples.

I moaned, but he brought his tongue back to my mouth to shut me up. I was on fire. No more words, just a suppressed desire. The way he pressed his hard chest against me and how he claimed my lips with his mouth was intoxicating.

“You are mine,” he said breathlessly as he parted slightly. He brought his lips to my neck, and his hard shaft was pressing on my stomach. “You didn’t have to choose because you are only“Adam, we shouldn’t—”

“Answer me, baby.“Yes…”“Say it. Say, you are mine, and mine alone.”

I swallowed. “I’m yours…”“Good.” He stood back on the ground—leaving me so open and so needy.

“I am taking you somewhere,” he promised.

“What? Where?”

He kissed my forehead. “You’ll see.”
