Jade lay beneath them, her body still trembling from the intense waves of pleasure that had just coursed through her. She barely had time to catch her breath when she felt Eric’s hand gently tilting her chin upwards, his gaze dark and possessive.
“So, do you, Jade Carter, accept us, the triplet alphas of the Darkwood Pack, to be your mates?” His voice was thick with need, but also laced with a seriousness that made her pulse race even faster.
Her breath caught, and for a moment, everything hung in the balance. The connection she had tried to deny, the bond she had fought against—it was undeniable now. Her wolf stirred inside her, urging her to take the final step.
“Yes, I, Jade of the Shadow Creek Pack, accept all three of you as my mates,” Jade whispered, almost out of breath.
The instant the words left her lips, all three brothers let out low, satisfied growls, their eyes glowing with approval. Liam leaned down, brushing his lips against her ear. “Usually, mating comes after acceptance. But you, angel, you’re different. We could do this all night with you.”
A shiver ran down her spine at his words, her body responding once more to their touch. She didn’t know how much more she could take, but her wolf craved it—craved them. They kissed her, worshipped her, like they couldn’t get enough.
Just as Eric leaned in to claim her lips again, a loud knock interrupted the charged atmosphere. It echoed through the room, shattering the intimacy that had enveloped them.
Liam growled low in his throat, his eyes narrowing in frustration as he pulled away from her. “Go away!” he barked, his voice filled with dominance. “Now’s not the time.”
The knock persisted, harder and more insistent. Jade’s heart raced, but the brothers’ possessive heat still burned around her, unwilling to let her go.
Liam’s patience snapped. He shot up, not even bothering to cover himself as he stormed toward the door, his muscles tense, radiating fury. He yanked it open, his eyes blazing with anger.
“What the fuck do you want?” he snarled.
The pack messenger, visibly flustered, stood on the other side, his eyes wide but resolute. “Alpha,” he stammered, his gaze flickering nervously toward Liam’s exposed body before he quickly looked away. “There were rogues spotted in our territory… and they’re here to take Jade.”
