“It was onion blossom, slathered in hot sauce,” Yolanda said with the most comical expression on her face Lucy erupted into laughter again.
“Mum, seriously…” Jean glanced around the restaurant. “Everyone is watching us.”
“I’m so…sor…” Lucy placed her head on the table as she dissolved into more laughter.
“I’m sorry, Jean.” Yolanda rubbed Lucy on her back as she tried to bring her own laughter under control. “But that story is funny.”
“Well, it’s not as if you said it to our hearing, Ma.” Bradley chuckled with amusement as he took his credit card from the waiter and signed the receipt. “Care to share?”
“Oh, it’s about your Aunt Elena,” Yolanda said as she gave Lucy some tissues. “Remember her?”
“Of course I do.” Bradley laughed. “Your crazy sister. What did she do?”
“No, no please, I won’t be able to stop if she repeats that story.” Lucy wiped tears of mirth from her eyes. “So, what did your mother do?” She asked Yolanda.
“You don’t want me to tell the rest of the story here, trust me.” Yolanda laughed. “Let’s get out of here first.” She said as they all stood to leave.
“So, I was thinking…” Lucy said as they left the restaurant. “Since these two are always at work, why don’t you stay at our place instead? I’m almost always at home. You will have more fun at my place than at Bradley’s. What do you say?”
“I’d love that, Lucy.” Yolanda beamed. “As long as I get to see my boy every day during my stay here.”
“You will see me every day, Ma,” Bradley said. “But since today is Sunday and I don’t have to go to work tomorrow, why don’t…”
“I could stay with you today and tomorrow and then move to Lucy’s on Tuesday,” Yolanda said.
“Took the words right out of my mouth.” Bradley laughed.
“That’s perfect,” Yolanda said. “Thank you, Lucy. I see where Jean gets his thoughtful and kind trait.”
“Those silly boys of mine won’t agree with you, Yolanda.” Lucy snorted. “They see me as the terror in the family.”
“Well, someone needs to assume that role in every family, to whip the kids into shape,” Yolanda said as they waited for their cars.
Lucy’s sleek Matador Red Lexus came first. “It was lovely meeting you, Yolanda,” Lucy said as she hugged Yolanda.
“Likewise, Lucy. See you on Tuesday.” Yolanda couldn’t hide how much she liked Lucy.
After hugging her son and Bradley, Lucy slipped into the back seat and waved at the three who were waiting for the valet to bring Bradley’s car. About a minute after Lucy’s car moved, Bradley’s manly, intimidating Hummer H1 came to a stop in front of the three of them.
“Lord, have mercy,” Yolanda muttered. “I can never get used to this.” She shook her head as Jean helped her get into the back seat. “Did you decide to get this or it was a…military requirement?”
Bradley and Jean dissolved into laughter as Bradley drove away from the restaurant. “It’s not a military requirement, Ma.” Bradley laughed. “I liked it. So I got it.” He shrugged.
“So, are you enjoying your car?”
“I told you, you didn’t have to get it for me, hon,” Yolanda said quietly. “I still can’t believe you got me a Mercedes without any hint. Imagine my surprise when Saul showed up that Wednesday morning with the sweetest car ever. I still can’t believe you remembered my favourite colour.”
“I remember everything about you, Ma,” Bradley said quietly. “You’re my mother.”
“I’ve never seen a lime-green coloured Mercedes before.” Yolanda laughed softly. “It’s very odd but I love it. But like I told you, I never go anywhere anymore so…”
“So start going out, Ma,” Bradley said. “You’ve punished yourself enough. It’s time to live again. You have your son back, right Jean?”
“Right.” Jean nodded his head. “Has the driver started work?”
“Yes. But he sits there all day with nothing to do.” Yolanda said quietly.
“So give him something to do,” Bradley said. “Join clubs. Start a charity whatever. There’s so much money just lying around that can benefit people who really need it. You will know what you can do when you get back into the fold.” Bradley said. “For me.” He added softly.
“For you.” Yolanda echoed her son’s words as she reached out to squeeze his shoulder.
Indeed, it was well.

“Hey…” A very naked Jean’s voice sounded sleep-roughened from his sleep.
Jean had woken up in Bradley’s bed to find Bradley’s side empty. He’d gotten in from the hospital very late the night before. Jean had really wished he didn’t have to work so late on the day Bradley’s session was supposed to be about Wendell but he’d been called by a fellow doctor in another hospital, to help in a very complicated surgery. The surgery had drugged on till late. He’d come directly to Bradley’s from the hospital and got into bed beside him. Bradley had silently turned around and snuggled close to him and then gone to sleep.
They had, therefore, not discussed his Wendell session yet. Jean really needed to know whether his man was okay. After quickly brushing his teeth, he’d gone in search of Bradley. When he found Bradley standing in his kitchen in only boxer briefs, staring absentmindedly out of the window, Jean’s heart had tightened with sadness. His first urge was to give his man a hug.
“Hey.” Bradley turned around to give Jean a small smile. “I made coffee. Want some?”
But Jean ignored the offer and silently moved to when Bradley stood, wrapped his arms around him, and then lifted him onto the kitchen counter. He gave the word ‘survival’ that was tattooed on Bradley’s right pec a quick kiss before tightening his arms around him. With a sigh, Bradley coiled his legs around Jean’s butt and an arm around his neck. Then he laid his head on Jean’s shoulder and simply allowed himself to be held. It felt good to have Jean’s arms around him.
Even more than that, he felt like everything was going to be just fine. Jean had become his rock. The man not only seemed to know exactly what he needed at any point in time but also gave him some inner strength and peace which he didn’t have before seeing him on that fateful day some months earlier. Bradley knew that he would never regret going on that hunt. If he hadn’t, he would never have gotten Jean in his life.
“I love you, Jean,” Bradley murmured.
“I know,” Jean responded, making Bradley laugh softly.
“Thanks for being you.” Bradley raised his head and looked at Jean with so much love in his eyes, Jean melted like butter under the sun. The blatant love he saw in those eyes, filled his world. “Fuck, you’ve turned me into a mushy idiot.” Bradley groaned.
“I like you mushy,” Jean murmured huskily. “Kiss me.” He closed his eyes and waited to feel Bradley’s lips against his. But what he felt was Bradley’s lips, scattering kisses all over his face. Jean heard Bradley’s amused chuckled when he groaned in protest. “I want your lips on mine, fucker.” He growled.
“Next time, give precise instructions.” Bradley retorted and quickly captured Jean’s mouth in a spine-tingling kiss before his crazy boyfriend could get the chance to tell him something very silly.
When they both came up for a much-needed air, Jean opened his eyes and gazed at Bradley sexily from beneath his lashes.
“Precise instructions huh?” Jean stepped away from Bradley. “Go into your bedroom, draw back the blinds, take off those sexy boxer briefs, lube up that tight butthole, get in front of the full-length window...facing your neighbours,” Jean ignored Bradley’s gasp. “Place one leg on that mini-cabinet that’s beside the window, and wait for me. How’s this for precise?” He smirked, watching the blatant arousal on Bradley’s face.
“Jean…” He whispered shakily.
“Go.” Jean grabbed a coffee mug. “And lube up real good ‘cause I don’t have the time to slick up.”
Without another word, Bradley got off the kitchen counter and made his way to the bedroom. His whole body trembled with excitement. His bedroom window faced a newly married couple and a single man of about thirty-five. Since it was too early to be out, Bradley knew that they were in and would see him getting dicked if they happened to look out of their windows. That possibility rather weirdly and surprisingly, excited the soldier even more. He quickly did as instructed and waited, the tip of his granite-hard cock, brushing against the transparent glass.
