Chapter 81: Please Don't Get Married To Uncle Charles

"What about us, don't you even care about me, even if it's a little bit?" Charles asked her with a painful expression written all over his face.

"Wait a minute Charles, are you serious right now? My child is sick and all you could worry about is us, what do you want me to do, forget about my sick child and have fun with you in the park?" Sarah asked Charles, her voice raising in anger.

"No of course Sarah, that wasn't what I meant, I was only...

"Charles it's okay, I will give you a call once I'm back from the hospital," Sarah said to him and turned and started walking away.

"Sarah wait," Charles said to Sarah before approaching her and kissing her on the lips while making sure that Xavier who was standing some minutes away witnessed the scene.

"Take care of him, we will make out to go out another time," Charles said to Sarah who nodded in reply before walking away with Justin and with that Charles turned around and glared angrily at Xavier who was standing some distance away while grinning ear to ear.

"I still can't believe that you were asking Sarah to choose between you and her child, do you think that she's so naive to choose a gold she haven't yet seen over the silver that she has?" Xavier asked Charles and immediately he furrowed his brows at him.

"Can you please elaborate? I didn't get your point," Charles said to Xavier.

"With pleasure," Xavier said to him with a wicked smirk.

"Actually I was asking if you thought that Sarah was going to abandon the child she already has because of you who she isn't even yet sure she's going to get married to, talk less of having of having a child with," Xavier said to Charles with a wicked smirk.

"Well you can do your worst, Mr. Xavier, but one thing is sure, there's nothing you are going to do to prevent Sarah and I from getting married, her heart already belongs to me," Charles said to Xavier confidently.

"Don't be too sure of yourself Mr. Charles, we are on earth and on earth things hardly goes the way we plan it," Xavier said to Charles.

"Well if the plan you and your son had plotted worked exactly as you planned it, then that means mine too is going to work as planned," Charles said to Xavier and immediately he furrowed his brows at him.

"What do you mean by the plan my son and I had plotted?" Xavier asked Charles with a furrowed brows.

"Come on Xavier stop playing dumb with me, we both know that Justin was never sick, you both used his fake running stomach to separate Sarah and I," Charles said to Xavier and immediately he bursted into a round of laughter.

"To be sincere my friend, I didn't plan such thing with Justin, it would be considered childish from my part if I had done that," Xavier said to Charles before patting him on his shoulder while ignoring his angry glare.

"If you hadn't planned that with him, that means he planned it alone. Believe me or not, Justin wasn't sick," Charles said to Xavier.

"Are you even listening to yourself, how can accuse a child of six years old of being capable of putting up such an act?" Xavier asked Charles..

"Come to think of it, if he really did it, that means you should be more afraid of him than me, because he's capable of stopping Sarah from getting married to you without even raising a finger," Xavier said with a wicked smirk.

"Well I don't care what he's capable of doing and what's he's not capable of doing, he's a Quim so I'm not surprised. The same warning I will give to you also goes for him. Stay off my road, I hate obstacles, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's getting rid of obstacles no matter how big or small they are.

Have a nice day Mr. Xavier," Charles said to Xavier before tapping him on the shoulder and walking away.

"Please doctor how is he feeling now?" Sarah asked the doctor who had just finished examining Justin with a worried tone.

"He's okay now, what happened to him wasn't that serious, he probably ate something sugary and that was what provoked the stomach ache once again. But you don't need to worry, the injection he had received is going to calm it down completely," the doctor said to Sarah and she nodded in reply while looking at Justin.

"I will be taking my leave now, you are also free to go whenever you are ready, just give him the medicines I prescribed to you and let him also give a break to sugary drinks and foods for the meantime," the doctor said to Sarah.

"Okay doctor, thank you so much," Sarah said to him.

"Don't mention it please," the doctor said to Sarah with a warm smile before walking out of the ward.

Once he left Sarah smiled at Justin before placing her hand on his forehead.

"How are you feeling now my champion?" Sarah asked him while maintaining a smiling face behind which she hid her worries.

"I'm fine Mum, thank you for bringing me to the hospital despite uncle Charles'refusal," Justin said to Sarah and immediately she smiled at him.

"Come on Justin, you don't need to thank me for that, you are my son and I will always choose you over anyone," Sarah said to him and with that Justin smiled at her before holding her hand that was on his forehead.

"By the way what did you eat at the park with your Dad," Sarah asked him while holding caressing hus hand.

"Ice-cream and some candy," Justin said to her and with that she sighed heavily knowing that was probably the cause behind his stomach ache.

"Please from now henceforth, I don't want you to eat sugary foods or drinks until you recover completely," Sarah said to Justin and he nodded in reply.

"Mummy can I please ask you a favour?" Justin asked Sarah and he nodded in reply motioning him to go on.

"Please don't get married to uncle Charles," Justin said to her with a pleading tone.

"What!!" Sarah exclaimed in surprise.

82: The Devil Of A Kid

"Please don't get married to uncle Charles," Justin said to her with a pleading tone.

"What!!" Sarah exclaimed in surprise.

"I thought we have talked about this before?" Sarah asked Justin but he remained silent while looking at her and with that she sighed heavily.

"Ok tell me, why don't you want me to get married to uncle Charles?" Sarah asked him while holding his hand.

"I don't like him Justin said to her and and immediately she sighed heavily once again.

"And why don't you like him, did he do anything wrong to you?" Sarah asked him and he nodded positively and Sarah furrowed her brows at him.

"What did he do to you?" Sarah asked him.

"Today when I wasn't feeling fine and you wanted to bring me to the hospital he wasn't okay with that.

That means that if we were alone and I fell sick, he won't take me to the hospital," Justin said to Sarah and immediately she ruffled her hair in frustration.

"He wasn't against me taking you to the hospital, he was only angry because we had planned to spend the day together but your arrival ruined our plans," Sarah said to Justin.

"That's not true Mum, you are defending him," Justin said to Sarah and immediately she glared angrily at Justin before rolling her eyes at him.

"Okay tell me, aside from what happened today, have uncle Charles done anything wrong to you againw maybe in the past?" Sarah asked him and he shook his head negatively.

"Then what's wrong, you can't hate someone like that, you have to have a valid reason to hate the person or is there anything else you aren't telling me," Sarah asked Justin but he remained silent while looking at her.

"I'm waiting dear, you know I'm your Mum and you can talk to me concerning anything bothering you," Sarah said to him before caressing his face.

"I don't want you to get married to uncle Charles because I don't want to have a stepfather, I want our family to be complete, you Dad and I," Justin said to Sarah with a babyish face.

"Come on Justin, your Dad and I aren't together anymore, how do you want us to form a happy family? Even after marrying uncle Charles, we will still form a happy family, you uncle Charles and I" Sarah said to Justin and he shook his head negatively.

"No I want Daddy, no uncle Charles and I'm sure that Daddy still loves you, so please forgive him," Justin said to Sarah and with that she furrowed her brows at him.

"Who told you that your Daddy still loves me, was he the one who told you that?" Sarah asked Justin with a furrowed brows.

"No, I figured it out myself," Justin said to her with a frown.

"You figured it out?" Sarah asked him before rolling her eyes.

"As if you even know the meaning of love. You see Justin I have made up my mind, whether you like it or not, I'm getting married to Charles, I deserve to be happy also. But don't worry, even though I marry uncle Charles, you will still be my number one," Sarah said to him.

"I don't want to, if you get married to uncle Charles, I will go and start staying with Daddy, I don't want to live with uncle Charles," Justin said to Sarah with a deep frown.

"Really?" Sarah asked him while thinking he was joking but to her greatest surprise he nodded in reply and with that Sarah sighed heavily not knowing what to say anymore.

"Hey bro what the hell is wrong with you, are you planning to get yourself drunk?" Adrian asked Charles before snatching away from him the bottle of alcohol he was holding.

Actually after leaving the central park, Charles had called Adrian to come and meet him at the restaurant where they usually come to drink during their leisure. Before Adrian's arrival, Charles had already emptied five bottles of alcohol and was still drinking another one, but what Adrian couldn't tell what who had provoked him, because as far as he knows Charles, he only drinks excessively when he's angry.

"I'm not trying to get drunk, I'm just trying to cool my head down," Charles said to Adrian while trying to collect the bottle of drink from him but Adrian refused to hand it over to him.

"What are you trying to cool your head down from, who provoked you again?" Let me guess, it's Sarah right? Adrian asked Charles but he ignored him before signaling at the waitress to get him more drinks.

"It's not Sarah," Charles said to him

"Then who is it?" Adrian asked him.

"It's Xavier and his devil of a son," Charles said to Adrian and he immediately smiled at him before shaking his head in disbelief.

"Seems like it's a combined attack. So do you mind narrating to me what happened?" Adrian asked Charles and with that he sighed heavily before narrating to him how Xavier and his son ruined his outing with Sarah.

"But bro, how sure are you that the kid wasn't really ill?" Adrian asked Charles and immediately he scoffed angrily at him and at the same time, the waitress arrived with the drinks Charles had ordered for and kept on his table.

"Look Adrian, I'm not a kid, so I'm very sure that nothing was wrong with that kid, he had planned everything with his father.

Seeing the way they executed their plan perfectly, I can tell you that if care isn't taken, both of them are going to ruin everything for me and just as Xavier said, the kid is a threat to me more than Xavier himself because the kid has more influence on his mother and if care isn't taken, he can force his mother to call off the wedding," Charles said to Adrian.

"Well that's one of the disadvantages of dating a single mother, come to think of it, why haven't the old man taken care of Xavier?" Adrian asked Charles.

"I don't have any idea, let me place a call across him and know what is delaying him and what I should also do about the devil of a kid," Charles said to Adrian before dropping the bottle of drink he was holding and taking his phone and placing a call across the old man.
