Hard and bold, he invaded her with forceful fervor. His scent surrounded her, drove her wild. He was inside her, solid and full. Carnal desire swept through her body, rocking her into submission. He thrust into her with hot powerful strokes unleashing a rush of erotic pleasure deep inside. Samantha opened her sleepy eyes and admired Cody’s beautifully masculine form moving over her, all male sexuality and sensual dominance. His brawny thighs on either side of hers and his tense, massive chest heaved with the harshness of his rapid breathing while his nostrils flared in a face taut with naked lust.
“Mmm…beautiful,” she whispered and gripped his firm butt, urging him deeper.
“Ah. Yes, baby…” he growled as a shudder rippled through his body. The thrusts deepened. Harder. Faster. With each ardent stroke, the moment intensified deliciously, sending her spiraling toward an abyss of pleasure.
“Sweet Jesus, Lady, you’re drowning me…Oh God, Samantha,” he cried out as his body tensed signifying his release.
Fascinated by her power over him, Samantha succumbed to her own stormy release until he collapsed on her chest. The tremor of his heartbeat matched his ragged breaths.
Cody kissed the hollow of her neck and trailed small fiery kisses up to her mouth then plunged his tongue deep. Samantha tasted him greedily.
Finally, he lifted his head, caught his breath, rolled off her, and covered them with a sheet. Cradled in his arms, he caressed her body, touching the soft smoothness of her belly before his fingers traveled farther down over her thighs.
“I couldn’t resist,” Cody said awkwardly. “I came looking for you and found you asleep, irresistible and tempting, I’m sorry.”
Samantha tilted her head up and chuckled. “There’s no need to be,” she replied softly. “The pleasure of waking up with you inside me is incredible.”
Cody leaned forward and kissed the top of her head affectionately. She ran a gentle finger over the ring and sighed. She didn’t want to take it off as yet.
“Do you like it?”
“I love it,” she whispered. “Thank you.”
“No. Thank you. You made a dream come true.” “Where did the ring come from?” Samantha shifted to lie across his chest.
He smiled lazily. “I had it made.”
“You had it made?” Puzzled, her eyes searched his face. “When? You didn’t even know I’d be at the wedding.”
“I had it made long before.” He twirled a lock of her hair. “Spur of the moment, I guess. When I visited the horse sale in Texas. They delivered it sometime after you left.”
“You didn’t?” She blanched.
“I intended to ask you to marry me, Samantha.
Despite the disaster of our initial meeting, my heart remained adamant you were special. And I ain’t wrong. You’re unlike anyone I’ve ever known. It was only a matter of time really and then…”
“Dear God, Cody, I didn’t know.”
“Hey, luscious lady, the bad days are all behind us now. We have our entire future to make up for that stupid mistake. Don’t you agree?” He kissed her as a tender reminder.
“Yes. We have our entire future ahead of us and I want it filled with lots of love, happiness, and beautiful children?”
“Why not…say two, a boy and a girl for starters and then think about more, later on.” He laughed at her bewildered expression. “I’m kiddin’.”
“For a brief moment there I thought you were one of those men who liked to see their wives pregnant and barefoot all the time,” she declared indignantly.
“What say we start now?” Cody lunged forward and grabbed her bare bottom.
“Wait. There’s something…”
“What’s wrong, Lady?”
Cody sat up, she urged him down gently, and straddled his thighs. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
“What is it, darlin’?”
“Cody, I—I” Samantha struggled with words then took his hand and she placed it against her tummy. “I want you to meet someone special.”
Puzzled, Cody’s gaze traveled from her face to his hand on her tummy and then back to her face. Realization finally dawned. “Sweetheart, are you tellin’ me what I’m thinking?”
She nodded. “Yes, Cody, you’re going to be a dad.”
“No, this ain’t happenin’,” he said and raked a hand through his hair, clearly shocked.
Her smile fell. “C-Cody?”
“No, darlin’, hell no…I meant…” He kissed her full on the mouth. “What I’m tryin’ to say, is two miracles in one day. Two months ago, I decided someone up there…” Cody looked up at the ceiling. “…hated me, now I’m convinced someone’s blessed us both.”
“I think it’s my grandma.” Samantha slipped her legs down to lie over him and kissed his chin.
One dark brow shot upward in a frown. “Huh?” “My grandma was a very strict lady and the first day you kissed me, I believed you made her spin in her grave. So she sits up there waiting to see the outcome of our first kiss.”
Cody laughed hard. “That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Hey, don’t go dissing my gran now.” Samantha nipped his nipple with the edge of her teeth. “It’s ’cause of her you fell in love with this spicy mix masala here.” “And let me say what a hot dish you are.” He tweaked her nose playfully.
“You don’t know these old Indian women. They’re very feisty about sex before marriage and growing up she warned me about letting boys touch me. I was raised under the traditional belief that our elders take care of us after death. So you see, we have a knight in a shining sari to protect us. You do know what a sari is, right?”
“I do and let me say what a picture it creates. An old feisty woman dressed in a sari, a knight’s shield, and helmet waving a sword at me.”
“Maybe an idea we could sell to the Game of Thrones director?” Samantha laughed, and Cody joined in.
“A baby, wow,” he whispered when his shoulders stopped quaking.
“Happy?”
“You have no idea.” He dropped a soft kiss to her lips.
“How do you feel about sharing my affection with
more than one kid?”
“Huh.” His brow creased. “I thought you didn’t want to be barefoot and—”
“That’s not what I meant, silly.” She chuckled. “Oh. Then?”
Samantha trailed a finger along his chin. “I have this wish to be a Kindergarten teacher. It’s been a dream for a while now. Well, since I visited some orphanages with my mom. Of course, I’d have to study and with the baby com—”
“Hey, Lady.” Cody grabbed her hips, flipped her over and pinned her under his body. Leaning on his elbows, his eyes glazed with love, roamed her face. “There is no need to explain. You could be whatever your heart desires.” He kissed her softly. “As long as you’re by my side, I’m happy fulfilling any dream, desire, or wish you have or want.”
“Thank you,” she whispered and followed with a soft kiss. “Right now, I want you.” And he complied.

Samantha rolled over on her tummy and put out a hand. Warm hard muscle met the softness of her palm.
Lifting her head, she popped open a sleepy eye and roamed the sexy naked body of her future husband. Opening the other eye, she pushed up on her elbow and continued her furtive observation. Her flesh goose bumped in happiness. On top of the world, she remained resolute nothing would bring her down. Not even the thought of another confrontation with her father.
Staring at the ring, she loved it, but loved this beautiful man even more. A soft chuckle seeped from her lips when she planted an affectionate kiss on his cheek. He groaned, rolled over and threw a hand across her hip, and snuggled closer.
Samantha traced a finger down his nose, over his lips, and down his chin to rest on his chest. Everything her heart desired was right here, except maybe the blessings of her parents. Although she defied her father’s wishes, her love for him stayed strong and hoped for his blessing someday.
Marriage. Wow.
Yesterday she was plain old Samantha Harman and today the future Mrs. Cody Bentley. She couldn’t get over it…a dream come true.
A soft tap on the door interrupted her blissful thoughts. Sliding off the bed, taking care not to wake Cody, she poked her arms through the sleeves of her robe. Securing the belt, she answered the door.
Freda stood there, her smile cheerful. “Morning, dear, I’m sorry to disturb you, you’ve got a visitor.”
“Visitor?”
“Yes. I’ll see you down in a minute,” Freda said, then turned away.
“Okay.”
A quick shower followed by the hasty action of donning jeans and a T-shirt, Samantha made her way downstairs confused who her visitor was. Her first step into the living room faltered with inherent shock. “Mom?” her voice wavered at the same time tears stung the back of her lids. Overwhelmed, she choked back the tears and stared at the welcome sight.
Her mother set her glass on the table and enveloped Samantha in a hug. “Hello, sweetheart.”
“Mom?” she finally found her voice. “What are…” she trailed off as her gaze landed on her father. On the porch outside, he appeared to be scrutinizing the ranch with avid interest. “Papa’s here?”
“Yes, sweetheart.”
“How?” Samantha’s tears threatened to fall once more. Definitely not the visitor she expected.
