Chapter 277: It’s Something Big

Bianca rubbed her forehead and said, “Enough, what’s done is done. Let’s come up with another plan. We’ll find a way out of this.”

She remembered how excited Reese had been when Bianca shared the news with her. Reese had been working hard to prepare for the program, taking dance lessons and sticking to a strict diet, eating only a few vegetables and pieces of corn each day. Seeing her dedication made Bianca feel terrible for her. She had promised Reese that things would get better once the program started.

Now, though, Bianca didn’t know how to tell her the bad news.

Diana’s anger was still boiling. She paced back and forth and slammed her hand on the desk, saying, “We haven’t done anything wrong. We’ve never offended anyone. Who is against us? I can’t take this anymore!” Her outburst reminded Bianca of their recent problems. It felt like their resources were being taken away one by one.

It seemed more and more like someone was deliberately trying to sabotage them.

Then, a thought crossed Bianca’s mind—Orion Entertainment.

Since Bianca had beaten Ashley, the issues had been persistent. The only possible reason for all this trouble was Orion Entertainment, which supported Ashley.

Orion Entertainment was a powerful force in the entertainment industry, and its influence was huge. A small company like Bianca’s couldn’t compete with them. If Orion Entertainment decided to target her, she would be helpless. Her company could keep facing setbacks from Orion Entertainment until it eventually went bankrupt.

Bianca didn’t regret standing up to Ashley. She believed Ashley had it coming. However, the ongoing attacks from Orion Entertainment worried her.

To have a chance against them, Bianca knew she needed help. The company that could compete with Orion Entertainment was probably Phoenix Entertainment.

After thinking it over, Bianca decided to reach out to her former boss, Justin, hoping he would be willing to help.

When Bianca arrived at the Phoenix Entertainment office, she felt a swirl of emotions. She walked up to the front desk confidently. Soon, the receptionist told her she could go to Justin’s office.

As soon as she entered his office, she saw Justin sitting at his desk, reading some papers. Bianca automatically fell silent and waited quietly in a chair.

It wasn’t until Justin looked up for a sip of water that he noticed her. “You’re here? Why aren’t you saying anything? I didn’t even see you come in.”

With a gentle smile, Bianca replied, “I didn’t want to interrupt your work.”

Justin set his gold-rimmed glasses aside and rubbed the mark on his nose, chuckling knowingly. “You wouldn’t come to me unless you needed something. So, what brings you here?”

Bianca felt a twinge of nervousness. Was her reason that obvious? But then she realized that someone like Justin would naturally understand these things. Deciding to be honest, she calmed herself down.

“Mr. Wilson, my company is being targeted by Orion Entertainment. They’ve unfairly stopped my artists from participating in a talent show we had secured. I’m here hoping you can help.” She kept it brief. Justin smiled in response.

“What benefits can I get?” Justin asked, tapping his fingers on the desk as he thought. “You’re not working for me anymore, so I’m not obligated to help. I’m willing to help, but I expect a fair exchange. What can you offer?”

Bianca was surprised by how quickly he agreed. She had prepared herself for a long fight, but he seemed ready to help without much hassle.

She was determined to offer him something valuable in return.

Regaining her composure, Bianca smiled and said, “Name your price. If it’s reasonable and within my power, I’ll agree.”

“Okay,” Justin nodded. “I’ll talk it over with my team. I’ll definitely help you, so don’t worry. I’ll let you know my terms soon.”

As Bianca left the company, she felt like she was walking on air. Justin’s support made her feel as though she was riding on his coattails.

After watching her go, Justin relaxed and made a phone call.

He had to call twice before he finally got through.

The voice on the other end sounded tired. “You’d better have something important to tell me.”

“It’s something big. I’m sure you’ll want to hear it.” Worried that Dave might get angry or hang up on him, Justin quickly added, “Bianca came to me. She’s in trouble and is asking for help from Phoenix Entertainment.”

Dave paused for a moment.

“Why did she choose to come to you?” he asked.

Justin was momentarily taken aback. Rolling his eyes, he replied, “Do you have a problem with that? She couldn’t exactly come to you directly, could she?”

Justin was genuinely at a loss for words. Dave was really acting jealous!

Dave rubbed his sore temple and asked with concern, “What problems is her company facing?”

He figured that Bianca’s company must be in trouble if she was asking for help from Phoenix Entertainment.

Feeling a bit playful, Justin decided to tease Dave. With a smirk, he said, “It’s about Blake. You know him, right?”

Justin remembered that Blake was Vincent’s godson, and there were rumors about him and Bianca being involved. Dave had once asked Justin to look into Blake.

However, not many people knew that Blake was Vincent’s godson.

Upon hearing Blake’s name, Dave abruptly ended the call.

Justin was left holding the phone, completely stunned.

‘Was Dave really that jealous of Blake?’

What Justin didn’t know was that Dave had recently seen Blake and Bianca together, which had only fueled his jealousy. Just the mention of Blake made Dave react strongly; he even wished Blake would disappear completely.

But Justin hadn’t even gotten to the main issue yet. After dialing Dave’s number four times, he began to wonder if the phone was off. Finally, the call connected.

Feeling like he might have pushed too hard, Justin quickly got to the point before Dave lost his temper. “Bianca’s company is being targeted by Orion Entertainment. The crew of Star Search originally agreed to let Bianca’s trainees participate in the show, but they went back on their word at the last minute. Bianca thinks Orion Entertainment is behind this and is asking for my help.”

Dave was silent for a moment before asking with a frown, “Does she have a history with Orion Entertainment? Why are they going after her?”

It seemed strange that such a big company would compete with a smaller agency for resources.
